A new wine shop opened here in Atlanta, and after breakfast Anne and I dropped by. It's called Wine Gallery + Market. They had a very nice selection of some interesting and difficult to find wines here in Atlanta. My purchases included Pinot Noirs from Martinelli, Goldeneye, Rochioli, Littorai, Siduri, Sokol Blosser, and Jezebel. Also got a Garretson Grenache, a '99 Vieux Telegraph Mas des Papes, and a Dominio del Plata BenMarco Malbec, among various and sundry other little gems.

I eyed for later neat stuff from Novy (Page-Nord Syrah), Numanthia, Ken Wright, Sineann, Penner-Ash, and Patricia Green, among many, many others. I could have spent my whole monthly salary this morning. Anyway, a good shop if anyone is in the Atlanta area and/or passing through.

Sounds wunderbar! Don't think any of those are to be found around here, except the Siduri.

Sounds like a great Pinot collection.

Where's this located Dan? My friend Artie Kanfer is a WINO who'll beat a path to their door. I bought a passel of Pinots myself yesterday. The Siduri 01 Pisoni, the Gary Farrell RRV 02, Row Eleven 02, Sanford 01, and some more of the Loring 03s. WW

Here's the particulars for your friend, WW:

It's located in the Buckhead Crossings shopping center at the corner of Piedmont Road and Sidney Marcus Blvd.

Address:
2625 Piedmont Road
Suite 51
Atlanta, GA 30324
404-869-3508
404-869-3462 (Fax)

When I got home, I looked up their boring and uninformative website that doesn't list any wines here:
http://www.winegallerymarket.com/

Supposedly, they opened in October, but they're having their "Grand Opening" celebration next Sat.

WW -- That's a dandy selection of Pinots you brought home yesterday!
