IK- have to thank you for suggesting this wine shop. They had a recent sale for 6 whites and 6 reds. Out of the case, (haven't quite finished the lot), there was only one chard that was not to my liking, (too much oak). Otherwise, I was pleasantly suprised... I'd never before tried anything from that region.

Thanks again!

Always looking for new sources.

I have found A Taste of Monterey (http://www.tastemonterey.com) an excellent and reliable source of Monterey APA wines. They are also courageous shippers. I've been told that there are retailers in the area with better prices, but you have to be there to enjoy them. I'm partial to the cabs and pinots of the region.

Now I remember the place. Been to the Cannery Row tasting room a few times with our friends Ann and Dileep - big time wine lovers. They have about a 3000 bottle cellar built into their garage in Saratoga, CA. Once they were playing a really nice CD at the tasting room and that was the first time I heard Enya. Bought the one they were playing.

I think they are the ones that shipped me three bottles of Bargetto Gewurz. But it seemed to have been delayed a long time in shipment and suffered heat damage so I haven't tried ordering from them again.
