me and my girlfriend are going to be heading back to my parents for a week. She is from germany and we have decided to bring back to my parents some german wine. Is there any place online that we can go and purchase german wines that cant be found here in the states?

Hi SD3 and welcome to the board. Not sure where you're located in La. but there are several great wine shops in New Orleans. Also you'll save on the shipping. Not sure but is La. a reciprical shipping state? If not, you couldn't get enything shipped from out-of-state retailors. Good luck . WW

If Louisiana permits out-of-state shipment of wines to come in, you might try http://www.chapincellars.com which carries German and Alsatian wines. In Chicago and New York City there are several large online vendors that carry German wines--for example, Binny's Beverage Depot in Chicago or Pop's in New York.
