Not up to reviewing all the meals but must trell you about some of the new hot spots in Napa.Topping the list is the new Miramonte, a joint venture of Cindy Pawlcyn ( she of Mustards and Fog City Diner fame ) and Pablo Jacinto ( He worked for Cindy at Mustards and for Mike Chiarello at Tra Vigne ). This twosome have a great synergy and have created a menu that they call " Food of the Americas " Ate there twice and loved every pound I put on. It's in St. Helena on the railroad tracks. In Yountville Live Fire Fred Halperts' new endeavor ( Brava Terrace which he just sold ), Bistro Jeanty and Bouchon are superb. In Calistoga Brannans' Grill and Wappo are sizzling. Mite recall some of the more memorable meals after I slug down some Cabs. WW

Ate at these. I liked Bistro Jeanty the least -- hot, NOISY, and crowded. Bouchon kept us standing outside 40 minutes past our reservation but brought two trays of oysters on the half-shell as a peace offering.

Bucko, I think oysters are served by the "piece" offering...

Buck-Miser, 5% is NOT considered an adequate tip in this day and age. No wonder they kept you waiting. The waiters all had to draw straws to see who got the short one and your table ....giggle WW
