I had the Croque Monsieur sandwich with ham, gruyere cheese, dijon mustard on grilled or toasted rye bread with a Sazerac cocktail (rye whiskey and a lemon twist.) The rye flavor of the drink matched well with the rye bread. I also ordered a plate of three domestic cheeses--Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog goat cheese with an ash streak, Hayley Blue, and Chatham Farms Camembert. I thought the bleu cheese was from Vermont but it may have been misspelled on the menu and may have been from Harley Farms Goat Dairy in California. The Camembert was from Old Chatham Sheepherding Company in the Hudson Valley, NY. I liked the Humboldt Fog and the Camembert better than the bleu cheese.
Cypress Grove was also represented at the Pinot on the River event near Healdsburg and I had a chance to taste the Humboldt Fog again along with some of their other cheeses. Cypress Grove is located in Humboldt County, CA.
