I'd love to hear stories about your experience in Sonoma.
I might (with your permission of course) even want to run some on my site. We'll be starting a "Tourist feedback" page in August.
Either way, I love to hear about my town from an outsiders perspective.

Thank you and cheers!

Have spent over 30 years exploring and enjoying this marvelous county. Many close, dear friends made along the way and still an ardent fan of their wines. Just an aside what has happened to Laura Chenel and her signature goat cheeses? Haven't been able to find it here in the valley for about 3 years? WW

They must all go to the east coast, WW. There's plenty here.

I love Sonoma County for wine tasting. Call me a daytripper, living in nearby Alameda county. Super scenic winding roads, fantastic country stores for lunch...Jimtown in Alexander Valley (?) and the Gereral Store at Lytton Springs (I think) in Dry Creek Valley.

Quaint wineries, friendly tasting rooms and beautiful gardens. Always the first place I think of taking visitors to escape the local fog.

The wife and I visited back in 2003 and it was one of the finest trips we've ever taken. I believe we spent 4 nights in Sonoma, 4 in Napa and then a couple in San Fran. Sonoma was certainly the highlight of the trip.

My gal wrote up a trip report, but I'm afraid it's a bit too long to post here at 19 single-spaced pages. Some highlights include our accomodations at the Glen Ellen Inn, driving to and on the PCH, picnicking at Benziger, and general wandering when we strayed from our planned itinerary.
