- Pawlowski - 09-07-2001 Could some one please tell him how to make Home made apple wine, what do i need to add and home much for 23 Liters. - mrdutton - 09-07-2001 Uh sorry I can't help you. But I think that wine is made from grapes...... by definition. Therefore there is no such thing as apple wine...... but there is such a thing as fermented apple juice. Around here we call it cider. Yes, grapes are a fruit, but by definition wine is from grapes, fruit wine is from other fruits. - Thomas - 09-08-2001 Let's not get into it again, Bucko, but the word wine has its roots in the definition of a process of fermenting GRAPES, and only grapes, that goes back to Phoenicia. On the question of fermenting apples, perhaps, Pawlowski, you need to talk with someone in a home wine/beer/cider making shop. Your question is rather large; there are a lot of steps to fermenting fruit. Because of the largeness of the question, anyone answering you on this board is sure to leave out a small detail that could mess you up. |
