A collaboration of CA's Robt. Mondavi and Oz's Rosemount Estate, this is a blend of 2/3 CS and 1/3 Syrah, 13.5% alc/vol and $12.95 at Costco week before last.

Sour cherries and leather on the nose, muted berry notes across the palate that fail to deliver on the nose, very weak finish. Back label says the grapes were sourced as 35% Santa Barbara County, 26% Mendocino County, 19% San Luis Obispo County, 15% Napa County and 5% Monterey County. Small wonder that this stuff lacks any sense of place. Fortunately, only bought two bottles. Won't buy more unless the euro goes 2:1 to the buck.
