Bodega Weinert Carrascal 2001 Mendoza, Argentina. This bodega is relatively small at 40 hectares.(considering most producers out of argentinia are huge it seems)

This is a blend of Malbec, Cab, and Merlot. I picked it up for $9-$12(I forget, sorry) at the local pusher. Plummy in color, with hints of orange on the rim. beautiful red fruits and vanilla(from the oak I am assuming) in the nose. Medium bodied, jammy, loaded with fruit flavors. Plum and cherries and oak(I swear I can taste the wood on this one) domanate the flavor. Light acidity and soft tannins in the finish tell me not to age this wine, but they are balanced nicely giving a great finish.

A nice wine for the price, and it is going very well with a pepperoni pizza. I love how a jammy wine dances with spicy pepperoni.
