13.5% alcohol; 49% Zinfandel, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon; 13% Syrah
Dense, inky purple color. Juicy, mellow, mouthful--reminds me of a Cote du Rhone. Pleasant dinner wine--not layered or complex.
Tastes as if several different berries are either melding or colliding--I'm not sure which, but overall a decent quaffer and good QPR. (Fruit seemed better integrated the second night).
Label speaks of old-vine zinfandel with raspberry and clove flavors, and Syrah and C.S. providing dark cherries and blackberries.
Normally under $10 and sometimes on special for as little as $6.99.
