From Chile comes this value red blend of 50% Cab, 40% Syrah, and 10% Merlot. Clear garnet in color it boasts nice flavors of the brite spectrum. Brite plum, red berry and blackberry flavors with notes of cinnamon and vanilla with a touch of spice and a linguring finish make this a nice party/BBQ wine. 13.7% Alc/vol. $8.99 or $86 by the case locally.

sounds good, Drew, and love the name WD

Was named by the co-owners who got into barrell sampling too heavily and woke up the next morning with ALL of the South American flags represented on their Bods. WW

Mike Dutton made the original post on this wine back in May of '02. He gives a lot of detail and backgroung on it. See: http://forum.wines.com/ubb2/Forum9/HTML/000452.html

We recently bought a bottle of the 2002 at $10.99 at the Belfast Coop after reading about it in one of wine magazines. The cause seemed good and the back label claims that @ $.50 per bottle, they had to date donated $75 K to the charities.

We popped it tonight after a full day and a lot of food on the road. With cheddar and munster cheese it went nicely. It was so smooth it was almost flabby. I guess that is what happens when you mix cheap Chilian cab with syrah and merlot. The syrah saved it. It is a very good value, and a very good cause. Would buy more, and drink it with other light meals.

I agree--this is pretty good stuff. But what is the cause?

The 2 Brothers brought out the wine in memory of their mother who died of liver cancer. The $.50 per bottle goes to various cancer agencies and Hospice of Virginia.

I have an aunt who died of liver cancer. I'll get a bottle in her memory.
