Becker Vineyards and Winery are near Stonewall, off of US 290 east of Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country. Nice place to visit. Dr. Richard Becker and his wife Bunny have been making wines there since 1992. The grapes for this bottling were from the Peter's Prairie Vineyard of Bob and Beverly Cartwright at Camp Air, about eight miles north of Mason, Tx. Sadly, Bob died suddenly a few short months ago, but Beverly will continue growing grapes and selling all of her production of several varieties to Dr. Becker.

This bottling is a nice sipper, with good color and a gorgeous nose; but it lacks enough acid for pairing with lasagna IMO. Nice wine, though. 13.5% alc/vol and $14 at the winery early last year.
