This wine was served as an alternative to a finer Sauvignon Blanc, with appetizers of goat cheese canapes and portabella mushrooms smothered with tomatoes and provolone. This one was over-oaked and forgettable. There are much better red table wines available.

They've got bottles of this stuff sitting buy the register of the local wine store, and it ain't sellin! Never tried it, and at $18 a bottle, probably won't either.

Though the 98's were great in Southern France, and Northern Italy; beware Northern California.
