I have a bottle of Pleasant Valley "Great Western" Extra Dry Champagne. Well this is all that i can get from the bottle. I would like to know that value of it if anyone knows. It is unopened and in decent condition. I can send pics to someone who knows about or would like to see the bottle to make sure my info is correct. I am not by any means a wine collector, and i don't know much about vintage wines. Thanks for your help.

Pleasant Valley has the distinction of being the winery with U.S. bond no. 1. They were established in 1860. If your bottle is truly from 1873, the wine inside is trash. However, there may be some collector who'd want the bottle for its historical significance. Try putting it on eBay and see if anyone goes for it. I'd list it for maybe $300. Maybe you could write to the company that now owns the winery. Foodie might be able to help there.
