Lodi.
Hugh, dense and delicious. Completely opaque black/purple in the glass. Crushed blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate flavors overwhelm the tongue. Just a smattering on fine grain tannins on the very long finish. Almost an Oz style over the top wine but without the blueberry, coconut goop. Very, very good alone on a cold, windy night as a sipper. This would totally overwhelm any food pairing, imho. 15.5%Alc/vol. $25

I agree Drew, this is a very large scale wine and I also enjoy this much. It has to be winter and a cold day

Winter???? What be Winter??? Oh Yeh! We are deep into it as it gets into the low 40s at nite and low 70s; during the frigid days. The mind is a terrible waste to use. WW

WW, after spending XMas spread out across Toronto, Boston, Ottawa and even Victoria BC and Vancouver (in the space of 10 days....), there was winter everywhere!!!

I almost fell walking off the plane in Victoria (they still have you walking on the tarmack).

We had two Storms in Beantown and two while I was in Toronto..... the Whisky came to help much!!
