1999 Mount Pleasant, Augusta, Seyval Blanc. A very nice medium-full (12.5%) wine is a great value at $11.00. Beautiful hue in the glass, the absolute lightest shade of green. Lemony fruit and spice on the nose. A great burst of fruit up front, spicy crispness on the palate, and a delightful finish. Married nicely with simply broasted chicken breasts seasoned with tarragon, garlic and olive oil. Mrs Ik's remark was, "Much nicer than the last one we had with this." Can't remember what that was! Anyone venturing slighly west of Saint Louis should drop by Mount Pleasant. You won't be disappointed. Sorry WW.

Having problems with words lately. First used "value" when I meant "price", now used "green" when I meant "greenish yellow." Am going to have to see my mnemonigist. Think I'll go pop a Petite Dirah.
