Napa Valley.

Splash decanted, let sit for 2 hours before 1st pour. Opaque purple color, with an expressive nose that fills the room with dark fruits and spices. A mouthfilling wine of juicy blackberry and mulberry fruits, with peppery spiciness on the long finish. Tannins didn't seem heavy, and I don't know if I'd let this one sit 10 as I would with many other Pets. A big, juicy, fun drink right now, and one that hit the spot during a raging ice storm outside. Alc 14.6% Paid $21 on sale. FWIW, WS 90 (said drink to '10, though I wouldn't), WE 92, and W&S 91.

One good thing about PS is that you can frequently pick them up on sale. Retailers frequently throw them into the sales bin after they feel they have been on the shelf too long. Then you can grab 'em and lay 'em down.

Dan, IMHO this wine will go another 8 without breaking a sweat. Lots of stuffing and I found it to have some nice acid, tannin balance to take care of the fruit. I like it a bunch. WW
