Can't remember where I posted on the 03 version of this super blend from the McDoweel Valley Vineyard. The blend of 66.7% Duriff and 33.3% Grenach from old vines produces one heck-of-a tasty bottle of juice. Deep opaque pruple the nose is dominated by the rustic brambliness of the Duriff with the Grenache adding sophistication combining floral notes with sweet red fruits. Soplid entry, weighty center and a smooth 4+ lapper finish. Loads of supple tannins will take this hummer to another level in 5-8. Slighty better IMHO than the super 03 model. 92/90. 22 less club discount. No alc. 36 cases produced. WW

Had another with lunch today with chimichurra wild salmon and fresh wilted spinach. Lovely stuff that will stand up to any thing you throw at it. No change in scoring. WW
