Unquestionably the leader of the pack for me DD!!!!Ordering a double box in the AM. Lovely blend of 61% Merlot, 36% Cabernet, and 3% Cab Franc. Brite ruby. Nose hits all the rite notes with red fruits, sweet spices, and just enough vanilla to be interesting. Solid entry, weighty center and a 4 lapper finish. Easy drinking wine that has enough body and tannins to improve over the next 2-4. Will give this bugger a solid 89/93. 22 bu the box. 13.3% alc. WW

Thanks for the notes on the '05, which I've yet to try. We've loved the '02-'04, and we still have an '02 sitting in the cellar from our visit to Hedges during the '05 offline.

Speaking of which, KC or Wonders -- do you remember the Asian fellow with the camera that wandered along with us on our tour of the cellar, library, etc., even though he wasn't part of our group? Pretty hilarious memory. That was a fun day. I still regret not taking Bob up on the offer to lock ourselves into their library. I'm pretty sure that we'd have the place cleaned out by now, assuming somebody came by periodically to slide pizzas or some such under the door . . .

Yes, good memories from that trip.

That sounds great. I've been wanting to taste some more stuff from Hedges. Thanks for the note!

We've been on a number of offlines and all have something special to remember. The WA one, though, was just one fun time after another. I'm sure glad we didn't go out to Jared Boyle's place as planned for some skeet shooting after a day of wine tasting. Nothing worse than drunks with guns.

Did somebody mention my name?

- Kcwhippet - 05-22-2008

Not yours, Drew, but what about them arresting Peterson for having an assault rifle with a short barrel. His attorney said in the paper that he shouldn't have been arrested because police are exempt from that law.

- Drew - 05-23-2008

Wow, didn't know about that law and all this time I've been hiding my sawed off shotguns and assault rifles. No more! I'm displaying them suckers in the living room...now whered' I put those RPG's?
