Over the last couple of nights, I have been enjoying a 1998 Ste. Chapelle (Idaho winery) Syrah. It has a strong, tartish fruity aroma with a smooth fruity entrance. It is medium bodied with a nice light plum color. The finish is medium dry with a very fun peppery kick. It was quite different from the Rosemont Shiraz which had a little less fruit and a lot more of the pepper up front. Overall, it was a very enjoyable bottle.
