- randery - 08-25-2003 I'm really not proficient enough to offer TNs but I would really like to share this. We found this vineyard while on vacation at Cape Cod. The vineyard claims to be the first on the cape. This meritage blend is a dry red aged in American oak but not too oaky. Blackberries layered with cherry. Full bodied with a silky mouth feel and a long, chocolate finish. Its 19 bucks, but I'm sure production was limited. IMHO, it was worth the price and worthy of the "Triumph" name. We thouroughly enjoyed this wine. - Innkeeper - 08-25-2003 Do you know what grapes were in it? - randery - 08-26-2003 According to the gentlemen at the vineyard shop, the blend is dominant cab franc and merlot. He didn't tell us the repective percentages. - Kcwhippet - 08-26-2003 Cab Franc is what they grow the most of, so I suspect that's probably the major part of their wines. - ShortWiner - 08-29-2003 I visited the Truro Vineyard, too--here's my post: http://www.wines.com/ubb2/Forum34/HTML/000069.html Looks like we differ somewhat! Such is life. I don't remember the Triumph too well. - wondersofwine - 08-29-2003 Randery, that's a fine tasting note! Keep them coming! - randery - 08-29-2003 Thanks, wonders. I'll keep a tastin'and reportin'. |
