- haffimar - 08-27-2004 I would like suggestions on white wine to go with grilled lobster in garlic marinade For further info, I dont like sweet or too sour white wines - Innkeeper - 08-27-2004 Hi Haffimar and welcome to the Wine Board. Look for a full bodied "unwooded" Chardonnay. Lacking one of those, look for a dry Reisling such as one from Alsace, or a full bodied Sauvignon Blanc such as a Sancerre from the Loire Valley of France. A final choice would be a White Bordeaux. You should not find any of these sweet or sour. - Thomas - 08-27-2004 Haffimar, Just so you know, you should never find any wine to be sour. That would mean the wine has gone bad--think old milk. What you likely mean to say either is "tart," or "bitter," two counterbalances to "sweet" in wine. |
