Light in color, even for a cab franc, but that seems fairly normal around this area. The nose has red cherries laced with white pepper. There is also some noticeable vanillin, but certainly not overdone. If you search for it, a hint of green pepper; this does not take anything away from the wine (and I'm sensitive to this). The palate has concentrated baking cherries with more vanillin. The finish is medium to long. I thought this was his most serious wine and it was well done.

On a side note: When hattie and I walked into this basement tasting room, the owner, Mr. Barrett, was wearing a bandana on his head. Some 60s tunes ( I recognized the songs but don't remember what was being played now) jammin from the back of the room. Hattie and I thought we had just appeared on the set of Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke".
