- ShortWiner - 10-25-2003 Off-dry, citrusy Finger Lakes Riesling. A little heavier than light-bodied, with a good helping of acid and some aromatic floral stuff going on. We had it with some goat cheese before dinner, and it was quite good. $12 (I think) at is-wine, 11% alc. Whetting my appetite for May [This message has been edited by ShortWiner (edited 10-25-2003).] - quijote - 12-01-2004 Had this wine tonight with Thai Mussaman curry and a Chinese pork-eggplant dish. Delicious, and just perfect with the meal. Lots of pear, honey, and ginger in this wine. $11 at Premier in Buffalo, NY. - californiagirl - 12-01-2004 Definitely one of my favorites. I can't find a Cal Reisling that compares to those from NY. I'm hooked. |
