Really enjoyed the '04 vintage and spotted the '05 at Costco.... pulled one for Asian stir-fry of shrimp & veggies tonight. Wow! Blast of grapefruit! Thought "Oh ____, this ain't gonna work!" Had a Tommasi PG chilling in reserve.... but the grapefruity Sancerre was OK so pressed on. Not as pale in the glass as a Rossignole... lots of fruit there (maybe including kiwi?) but melded with the veggies just fine and didn't step on the shrimp. Will need to try it with more traditional SB fare to get a better handle on it but it worked just fine. 12.5% alc/vol and $15.99 per.

Sounds pretty tasty -- how was the acidity?

Acidity was very crisp, as hoped for. Even the grapefruit thingy subsided as the meal wore on. Need to try it now with chicken (baked, broiled or grilled) and fish (cod, halibut, trout... yeah, especially trout). Will try to get some '05 Rossignole for comparison.

I've liked this bottling in past vintages. Even the 2003 was pleasant to drink although less acidic than other vintages.
