More experimenting.

My first-ever Chinon. Deep clear magenta color, like black cherry soda. Fragrant nose of raspberries and wet earth, and without-a-doubt lead pencil. Creamy mouthfeel, with some strawberry on the palate; light to medium bodied. Pleasantly acidic. Shortish finish, with a touch of tar and light, fine (and bitter) tannins. A bit off-putting at first, but after several swallows, I began to like it somewhat. While not quite my style, a decent wine nevertheless. Probably better with food.
