Ingredients in Corn moussaka are whole kernel corn (instead of eggplant) with ground sirloin (instead of lamb) and parmesan and mozzarella cheese with other typical moussaka ingredients. What kind of wine? Thanks--I'm baffled too!

Welcome to the Wine Board L. Like to keep ethnic foods with local wines when possible. However, it is difficult to find Greek wines in New York City, much less in the rural areas such as we live in. So, let's take a look at Italy. The first thing that comes to mind is Primitivo. If you can find some, you are all set. If, not, try the American version, Zinfandel. You need a light one, not a big one. Try bottom of the line from Cline, Peachy Canyon, Marietta Cellars, or Ravenswood. Or just ask your retailer for a nice light zin (not a white zin).
