On opening it was very mute, to the point where I wondered if it was slightly corked, but after a couple of hours in the decanter, to came about, ripe, round, has not yet integrated the oak, but full and smooth. Medium plus finish.

Engineer,
I've been reading up a bit about this estate--never had the pleasure of trying their wines.
Have you had other vintages from them? They're supposed to age tremendously well. Any experience there?

VH,

I've only been lucky enough to try the 02, 04 and the 05 and while each was different wines, but I loved all of them. I've not had the chance to try anything more aged than that. The 02, given the vintage, was still very fresh, so if that is any indication.

They are certainly worth a try if you like Saumur but I would suggest that very few Saumurs would taste like this to the point where some people would suggest that they are not typical. Nonetheless, the few that I've tried, I love.
