A little poetry for the knowledgeable and amusing Whine Board members

I opened a bottle and out popped a genie;
As you probably guessed, it was Winoweenie

A couple of bottles, and I saw the "Grim Reaper";
Wait, no, it was only the Innkeeper

When we drink from the vine, we do our duty;
That's what I heard, from our favorite Foodie

Upon finishing a good bottle, we feel a bit sad;
So lets open another, and drink one for Rad

I heard there is a wine, they call Betty Hutton;
Now there's one for me, said Mrdutton

Some wines are old, and some are new;
It makes not a difference, when your drinking with Drew

A bottle a day, is the only way to go;
Let's dedicate a gallon, to Bucko, ole Bucko

Don't gulp it, sip it;
You'll enjoy it more, says KCwhippet

Where, oh where, is my wine cellar key;
I wonder who has it, I bet it's Barnesy

There are wine experts, who have a good line;
But none can compete, with our Hotwine

Some wines are sweet, and some are sassy;
No one knows better, than ChittyChattyKathy

I found a friend, to be my wine protector;
For we all need to be wary, of the Winecollector

Drink up your wine, and enjoy the show
We'll all be amazed, by the jazzman, Botafogo

So drink, drink, drink, and enjoy the bliss;
From one who really knows, says Cpurvis

As grapes are growing, they love the dew;
Some Frenchmen say, it helps them turn Blue...or purple, white, whatever

Here she comes, the wine sailing sloop;
Mastered by none other, than captain Scoop

Don't feel downhearted, if your rhyme was not fine;
You must understand, I drink too much wine

Sometimes it's hard, to find a good rhyme;
I'll try and do better, if there is a next time

For those I have missed;
I hope you're not pissed

That's all Folks! RS

Richard toiled away,
Throughout the whole damn day,
Smiled broadly when he got through,
But how did he ever forget about Blue.

- Richard Simms - 05-01-2001

Blue, who?
Don't forget, I'm relatively new

Give me a clue;
I will add something about Blue RS

- Innkeeper - 05-01-2001

Blue has been around since December '00,
Has 60 postings through today though,
He's Franco-American and has some smarts,
But frequently reminds us of his Franco parts.

I don't steal cellar keys......

I quietly return them after i've made a wax copy for future key creation.

Barnesy

IK, you missed it; Blue was in there:

"As grapes are growing, they love the dew;
Some Frenchmen say, it helps them turn Blue...or purple, white, whatever"

Cute rhyming. ...
