We are having one of those March winter storms, the kind that make me wonder why I don't move to the equator...

On the bright side, I don't plan to drive to NY City from the Finger Lakes--not today.

- Georgie - 03-16-2004

We're supposed to get a couple of inches today too. Enough already!

- Kcwhippet - 03-16-2004

Forecast here is for up to 10" starting this afternoon and going through tomorrow morning. As if that's not enough, we're supposed to get it all over again on Friday. We're going to have more snow on the first day of spring than on Christmas. Any good real estate bargains in your area, WW?

- Innkeeper - 03-16-2004

We have more White Easters than White Christmases. Did when we lived in Portsmouth, NH too. Right now there is no snow on the ground, and only light snow in the forcast.

- quijote - 03-16-2004

That storm passed us right by, though it's been really cold here.

- Thomas - 03-16-2004

next time quijote, please lasso it and keep it for yourself...

- Georgie - 03-16-2004

It's 1:15 and it's been snowing since 9-ish.I'd say we have about three inches. Even the kids are groaning and saying,"We want spring!"

- Innkeeper - 03-16-2004

Now they are saying we will getting ten inches or so tonight, and I have to get up at oh dark thirty and drive 50 miles to Togus VA for my annual physical.

- Georgie - 03-16-2004

PLease be careful. Maybe you should reschedule...

- Thomas - 03-16-2004

IK, my wife and I rose this morning at 5:45, intent on driving to NY City before the storm (which we were told by the imperfect weather people, would begin in late afternoon). We looked out the window at 6:30--ready to go--and we said: no way, not today. And we stayed home; you should do the same tomorrow.

- hotwine - 03-16-2004

Sorry to hear of your weather woes, folks. Got up a 5 and was at the gym by 5:30, back home sitting down to a protein shake at 6:30. What a life!

I got the fertilizer down just in time this week end. We have had some slow steady rain through yesterday and today. The sun was out today and right now it is 58 deg. outside. will be a good night to sleep with the windows open. It's gettin warm in the house.

Hang in there WW those 80 deg days will be 100 deg days soon. Then you can thaw out.

Snow here too, but not predicting much. Should be in mid 50's over the weekend. I'll send it to you when I'm done with it!

- Innkeeper - 03-17-2004

We got less than forcasted. It was a little rough going over this morning, but my 4X4 riceburner (Toyota PU) did just fine. Physical went well, and roads were just wet and salt covered coming back.

- quijote - 03-17-2004

The lasso wasn't necessary after all. Got a light dusting of snow overnight, and a little bit is coming down now. Shouldn't be much accumulation.

- PinotEnvy - 03-17-2004

Twin Cities go an inch or two of the heavy snowball fightin' stuff too. Should be here for a short time only though. They are predicting (but what do weathermen know anyway) mid 40s on Friday.

- Bucko - 03-17-2004

I can't stand it either. Partly sunny and 56 degrees. It is living hell I tell you!

When I got to NYCity today (after first snow blowing 18 inches out of the driveway so I could get out to make a 5 hour drive) there was a message for me from some guy named Verne, who said something about warm weather down his way.

This is a family board, so I can't say to Verne what I want to say!!!

- Georgie - 03-18-2004

Ha! and I hear there's a biggin coming our way tonight! I used to think I'd love to live in Vermont. I'm changing my mind..
