- Bucko - 10-23-2007 Yup, that's what the SOX are going to think after being buried by the Rockies! Wee hee! - TheEngineer - 10-24-2007 KC must be trying to get online to get tickets...... - Kcwhippet - 10-24-2007 Nah, just reading (and ignoring) the ramblings of a highly disallusioned dreamer. Actually, Eng, I'd much rather be comfortably ensconsed at home in HD on the big screen - much more comfortale. Might be a little late to the game tonight anyway. We're attending a charity event for Central Massachusetts Veterans that includes lots of food, wine and a wine auction. I'll let you know tomorrow if I found anything worth bidding on. GO SOX!!! - wondersofwine - 10-24-2007 I attended a wine dinner in Raleigh last night. At my table was a couple that moved to North Carolina from Massachusetts. The husband is a doctor that I have met before at wine dinners. His brother has had various distributorships in Boston area (I believe the father had Anheuser-Busch but sold the distributorship after some years) and has a box at Fenway. The doctor asked if he could have a couple seats in the box for the World Series and the brother said "Certainly--for $5,000." The doctor is not taking him up on the offer. - winoweenie - 10-24-2007 I love sibling fidelity. WW - Bucko - 10-24-2007 Okay, the first inning has kicked off. Time to unravel some SOX. - Kcwhippet - 10-24-2007 Not much unravelling going on through the fourth inning. - Bucko - 10-24-2007 They just want to spot them a game so they don't look so bad...ahem... - Kcwhippet - 10-25-2007 Now you're just rationalizing. - Innkeeper - 10-25-2007 Heh! Heh! - Bucko - 10-25-2007 Not that the SOX has been lulled into smug complacency, it is time for the Rockies sweep. Watch and weep. Did I ever say, "BOOMER SOONER!" - Kcwhippet - 10-25-2007 Sure is nice to have a dream, impossible though it may be. - Bucko - 10-25-2007 Gimme a buzz and I'll send ya a Notre Dame crying towel. - Bucko - 10-25-2007 Wow, we finally have a good game tonight -- real nail biter in the 6th. I'm flipping back and forth, enjoying VT knock off BC -- that'll move the Sooners up another notch in the polls. BC is marching down the field in the 4th... - Bucko - 10-26-2007 Boy, BC made an amazing comeback! What a game! College football is where it is at for me in the sports world. - dananne - 10-26-2007 Nothing beats college football, save perhaps the wonderful month of March in college hoops. I will say, though, that this season of college football is unlike any I remember, with so many upsets and unbelieveable games. At this rate, I'd be very surprised if any team manages to make it through the season undefeated. Nice BC/VT game tonight. - hotwine - 10-26-2007 She insisted on us watching Field of Dreams on DVD laast night, and when it finished, I couldn't reset the DirecTV remote back to watching TV. Dang! Still screwed up this AM. - hotwine - 10-26-2007 OK, finally figured out the button sequence and the TV is back in business..... just no way to recover last night's games. - winoweenie - 10-26-2007 Fergitabbouit HW, as I slept thru the whole bloomin' thin! WW - Bucko - 10-26-2007 The Rockies are toying with the SOX -- lulling them into a slumber before they whack them good. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
