Anyone wanna make a bet as to how many books are going to be written about this election? How about it, Foodie, do you have an election foods receipe book in mind, maybe featuring crow....?

You can bet there'll be a bunch. I've been wondering how many strokes and coronaries have been caused by the emotional swings of this thing.

I done voted. Whassamatter? WW

- RAD - 12-09-2000

Bucko, you're undoubtedly right; there will be far too many tomes.

And for what purpose? The man with the undisputed majority of the popular vote ought to be the one in the White House...

Until we have a national ballot, that will be a hotly disputed point. From what I understand, there were over two million ballots that were not counted nationwide in this election due to the pathetic 1930 technology being used. Come on people, we can do better than that. Canada does it. Are we inferior to Canada for technology? I don't think so. It is certainly admirable of our northern neighbors though.

Rad and Bucko, Until we insist that our archaic election process is modified we`ll have ca-ca like this winoweenie

Hey, guys, we can't have a national system! Just think of all the flacks, con-artists, sheisters, party spin-doctors and hookers who'd be added to each county's welfare rolls (not to mention the local franchisees of two-dollar voting machines). We couldn't afford it!

For me the funninest thing I have seen in YEARS was Jim Baker sputtering about "There's no STANDARDS! Every County is doing it differently, however they want to!". I kept waiting, (and waiting and waiting) for some reporter with a brain to ask "But Secretary Baker, isn't that the Republican Platform in a nutshell: local control and get the Feds out of it?"

Well, Friday night went to bed early in the fetal position. Saturday night was grinning ear to ear. What oh what will tomorrow bring?

Have you heard about the new golf rule? If you hit a bad shot, just yell "Gore!" Then you can swing away on as many more balls as you like until you hit the shot you want.

Somebody said this morning that the Dallas Cowboys should move to Florida; then they could play each game over and over until they win it.

Touché, Roberto, well said!

Did I miss something? Was there an election? Ah yes, I remember it now. When was that anyway--last month, last year, last eon?

C'mon Roberto, you know that you should only listen to what politicians say--never, never should you imagine that they might mean it!!!! Local control indeed; shows you what it gets us. Remember what states rights got us before the Civil Rights Act, and Act and Act.

I believe the United States Supremes will get nothing but heartache for their latest obvious move.
