Dang! It's like we didn't even show up! WW's boys looked tough, might go all the way.

Methinks we need some attitude adjustment and maybe salary CUTS on our side! And remedial training in free-throws and turn-over prevention. mutter, grumble.....

So sorry 'bout that HW. But you'll recall I told you to look to next year 'afore this series even started. We've never had a group that played as a "TEAM" like this group. WW

I think I used to get a higher free throw percentage than some of the pros. Some just don't practice it any more--going for dunks and jumpshots and the like. But it can make the winning margin of difference in a close game.

Got a call from WW yesterday, imploring me to root for his beloved Suns. Well, I did and look what happened. Kobe scored 40 and the Suns lost by 21!!! Think I'll stick with the Celtics. They're aging and fairly decrepit, but they're getting the job done - so far.

No real proof but there's a rumor the Lakers put an invisible screen over our net. One game do not aa series make. WW

"I think I used to get a higher free throw percentage than some of the pros. Some just don't practice it any more--going for dunks and jumpshots and the like"

Many of them that struggle, Duncan and Shaq for instance, have hired specialists and worked for thousands of hours on this skill, yet still struggle mightily.

I think it's the size of their hands. They can't get back-spin. It'd be like a normal-sized dude trying to shoot a big softball--you'd have to balance it on the fingertips to get spin, but that would reduce stability.
Then there's the line-drive factor. The basket is a bit too low to get a good rainbow.

There are big guys that can do it; it's just more difficult.

What I don't understand is why ALL smaller guys don't shoot 85+

By the way, given the options: GO CELTICS!
