Warning, there MIGHT be a drop in fuel imports due to Dean, (even though oil and gas dropped on the dow). Just in case our local petrol increased 30 cents over night at all the local stations! While I love our life in this country, it ain't free! WP

What I love is we're able to afford it. WW

Curious. Our gas prices just dropped again to $2.58.

Ours are at a 1 year low too KC. Curiouser and curiouser. WW

I heard that gas prices went down when forecasters predicted that Hurricane Dean would hit Mexico rather than Texas/Louisiana.

Good 'ole IN. 2.679 up to 2.999 yesterday. Actually doesn't seem statewide, but is certainly here around Columbus. Gotta agree with WW about being glad to afford it. A physian friend just returned a week or so ago from mission work in Haiti. I spoke to him today and I'm reminded of how lucky we are to have what we have with the ability to share. WP

Our prices (as of yesterday, haven't checked today) range from about $2.54 per gallon for regular up to $2.64 or so with a high state tax on gas. The legislators talk of capping the gas tax but I don't think they have done so and now they may increase it again to pay for construction of toll roads so they can soak the motorists again.

Apropos of WP's and WW's posts, a good book to make you appreciate what you have is "The Middle of Everywhere" by Mary Pipher (she used to live across the street and a few doors down from my mother.) She talks about actual refugees (different category than immigrants--these are people admitted to the USA because of persecution in their own countries) who have been relocated to Lincoln, NE, my hometown. The stories of the Iraqi women, the "Lost Boys of Sudan," etc. will curl your toes. And now we have a new generation of lost boys of Sudan with the Darfur situation. We need to put some humanity in being human.

D@mn....I thought based on the title that we finally were going to have a good discussion on Flatulence,

or the impact of wine on increasing/decreasing flatulence,

or impacting the aroma/nose of flatulence

or....maybe I should get off my post flight inability to sleep and go read a book...
