... if you're a fan of wines from Europe. As you all probably know from the news lately, the Dollar's really taking a hit against the Euro. From a purely selfish point of view, that's now going to make the wines you buy from France, Italy, Germany, etc. more expensive. We're starting to see the effects of the soft dollar in the shop. We've had a nice Collin Bourisette Macon-Fuisse on the shelf at $13.99 for a year now. The new vintage is in and we have to price it at $16.99 to maintain margins. I think we can expect to see that across the board as long as the euro stays stronger than the dollar. Personally, I much prefer New World wines, so I won't suffer as much as those of you who like the Bordeaux, Burgundies and such. Our cellar is probably no more than 5% Old World.

I wish they would stop complaining about it! I don't remember hearing them complain during the good years when they were making tons of money!

The backlash is going to be severe because people are going to just stop buying it until the prices come down. Then they are going to complain because they are stuck with cases of old when the new vintages come out.

Guru, you've lost me. Who is complaining and about what?
