This could shape up as quite a year for CA winemakers.... 102F in downtown LA yesterday, hotternhell all across the state. See http://twister.sbs.ohio-state.edu/text/severe/records/04042801.KLAX
The heat could put a whole lot of stress on the vines as the grapes are barely forming (assuming they're in the pinhead stage similar to my wild mustangs).

Same up Seattle. 70 & 80 degree days is almost unheard of this time of year. Garden shops are doing a booming business.

Yakima Valley; huge wind storm here yesterday (Seattle too) dust everywhere do to the fact that the wheat fields are currently bare, couldn't see more then a few blocks after a while. Same with Vancouver, Canada, dust-wind-heat. Odd day on the west coast...
