i'm looking for white wines with alcohol
content of 19%. does anyone have any suggestions?

What is the significance of 19% alcohol? It is not a number associated with white wine, unless the wine is fortified.

Yanni. Welcome to the board. White Port, Annie Green Springs, and Magnum 20/20 come to mind. WW

foodie, my husband suffers from insomnia and
our doctor suggested that if he drank a glass
of white wine with 19% alcohol he would rest like a baby. and it would be fortified. hope you can help me.

Look for white port or Madeira--fortified; the latter is produced on the island of Madeira from white grapes; its alcohol ranges from 17 to 20 percent. It is not cheap, but a glass a night (4 ounces) will make a bottle last a minimum of six nights. There are five Madeiras: Rainwater, Sercial, Verdelho, Bual, and Malmsey. The first one is the least expensive.
