pressed out a bunch of ground Buffalo yesterday evening, grilled onions, red and green bell peppers, fried bacon, crumbled blue cheese, all on toasted wild rice buns...with the usual condiments.

What was unusual was the (3) bottles of '99 Beaulieu Beauzeauz we swilled during the affair. A couple of us had swallowed the '98, and liked it, but were awed by the '99 fullness, considerable dark fruit nuances, and the very country gentleman feeling to the wine. The larger proportion of Zin (46%) no doubt contributed to the improvemnet in the wine as did the addition, not by mistake this time, of Lagrein.
At 13.6% alcohol, the wine is not "hot", and has plenty of structure against very manageable tannins. All enjoyed.

Sounds great. How much was the Beauzeauz? If you froze any of the burgers, might try a syrah/shiraz with the next batch.

Innkeeper!
Purchased the "BOZO" (Beauzeaux) for $22.95 per! Did I pay too much?

Vinman, the price is well in line with the case prices in Calif. WW
