Randy this one is for you, buddy!

Thanks for the insight about your establishment in NYC. The food was great, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was very nice.

We stopped in for lunch. We were shorted one item, but the rest was great (the waiter said they ran out). We put ourselves at the mercy of our waiter for the wine and he served a very nice, fruity Chardonnay with just a hint of vanilla; it was not over-oaked. This with our predominately seafood oriented meal melted together quite nicely, a very pleasing combination of wine and food.

Great wine, great food. But the price - wow! I'm not used to dropping close to $100.00 for lunch. Proof is in the pudding - our table was 56/1, check number 4134, server 406/Felipe, dated June 23, 2000.

Please pass on to them that Felipe was quite good, we were pleased by his service.

(We dropped your name AFTER we ate, not before. )

Hells Bells MrD, If you`d only let them know before the check would`ve been $120. It`s know Randy travels only in the Best of circles. Winoweenie PS Rands` working for a change so he can`t dismember me.

Well, I'm glad you at least enjoyed it, Mr. Dutton! I doubt, though, that you can get away for less than $100 (with tip) in most white tablecloth restaurants NYC (especially if you're going the three, four course route, sans sandwiches, with bottles of wine). Heck, in that city bottled water and a pretzel will set you back $6 out on the street! It's one of the few Roy's, by the way, that does serve lunch. Thanks!
