I need to find a Inexpensive but good wine that can go with chinese food that I can get at Trader Joes or at Cost Plus.

hi ossie. i'm sure foodie can give you much more specific advice, but in general terms i've found that white zinfandel goes surprisingly well with the spices in asian food. my favorite would be CK Mondavi.

I like reisling with chinese and japanese cuisines. Trader Joes has a few. See if you can find Bonny Doon Pacific Rim. Should run you about $8-$9.

Gewurztraminer and Riesling are no-brainers for most Chinese food and Thai food. I don't frequent those stores, so.......

Well, the guys are probably correct since, generally, with Chinese food bone dry wines do not come to mind. But not all Chinese food is alike.

Agree with the whites recommeded. If the dish is made with beef or other heavy meats or even extra strong veggies, in spicy sauce; recommend a red Zinfandel or a Shiraz.
