Anyone ever been to Pop's For Champagne in Chicago, on Sheffield? I was there for the first time the other night. Wow, was it plush. I don't think I've ever been to such a fancy restaurant before. They call themselves the premiere champagne bar in the United States. That snobbery is somewhat exemplary of the aura of the place, too ... but it was still a fun time. They do have an incredible selection of champagnes and a pretty good list of wines, as well. Plus there's great jazz. I had a glass of '99 de Roally, a crisp, fruity Macon with a very nice finish.

Hi Joeyz6. Did they make any mention of whether they are part of Pops' wine shop?
They've shipped me a ton of wine over the years. WW

I don't think the two are related but I might go back next week to hear some more jazz, so I can find out.
