Last night we had Johnsonville Brats, and the usual fixins.
We made IK's Sangria, and WOW!!!! It is great. I've never had that before. My wife even had a few glases. And I'm finishing off the rest right now.
I didn't realize that my wife had planed on fixin a double batch. And I had only picked up one bottle of Rioja when I was in Charlotte. And the only place close by is Harris Teater that much of a wine selection. But they didn't have Rioja, so I substituted Chianti. Mixed it up together and was great.
Sorry I didn't wright down the brands of juice used, and the bottles were thrown away.

We had a lot to celebrate this week: house closing, Fourth, but most important, Judye TOOK TWO STEPS AT THE UW HOSPITAL. So we busted out the good stuff. Bottle of Laurent-Perrier Brut LP, a Mionetto "Sergio" Prosecco Brut (Gorgeous!), La Carraia Fobiano '97, Sean Thackery Orion, Seghesio (the Italians, not the Californians) La Villa Barolo, and McManis Cab, which is fast becoming our house wine. Also had a wonderful couple of beers, our local Thomas Kemper Summerbrau and my old fave, Bellhaven Scottish Ale. The food ran the gamut from Hamburgers to Lagostinos sauteed in Arneis and fresh herbs.
