Anyone here know if there is a connection between The Wine Enthusiast and The Spirit Journal? I can't seem to find them referring to each other as sister pubs BUT they have both printed (re-printed?) exactly the same very detailed review of a product which reads like a publicist's over caffeinated pipe dream. I would love to rat them out as shills but want to make sure....

Sorry Boto never heard of either rag. WW

"never heard of" Wine Enthusiast??!!! WW's sabbaticals have a serious downside effect on his memory.

Roberto, here's the only info I could track:
1)Wine Enthusiast is the only wine mag listed on The Spirit Journal's "links" page.
2)This note on TSJ's founder:
F PAUL PACULT -
Author of the best selling books "Kindred Spirits" and "The Beer Essentials", and the founding editor and publisher of the influential newsletter "The Spirit Journal" the Independent Guide to Distilled Spirits, Beer, & Fortified Wines...also the wine and spirits columnist for "Sky" Delta Air Lines magazine, a contributing editor of "Wine & Spirits" and "Wine Enthusiast", as well as the president of Spirit Journal, Inc., a privately owned publishing, special events, consulting, and broadcasting company.

CP, Lots of rags I've never heard of as I only take the "Underground Wine Journal". Don't believe in taking in too much useless info into what limited capacity I have left. WW
