- Georgie - 12-16-2005 ...that I should have started writing 32 years ago. Today in my third grade class, we read "Hershel and the Hannukah Goblins" by Eric Kimmel. There is a rabbi in the story. I asked, "Can anyone tell us what a rabbi is?" Kayla (a Christian) answered. "It's like a piece of meat, like a steak." Puzzled, I went on, showing them a picture of the rabbi, got half-way through the right explanation, when I burst out laughing and said, "You mean Rib-Eye!" There was quite a pause in the story while I composed myself. That's a classic, I think! - Glass_A_Day - 12-16-2005 A classic indeed. I am going to share that one with Mom who was a teacher for 35 years. Should bring back some memories. - hotwine - 12-16-2005 Love it!
