There will be no sun this summer, at least there hasn't been much yet, and August is fast approaching. Yech!

Have already lost one potential crop of beans to drowning--second one looks like it's on its third dip under. Melons are soaking, the plants are--there are no melons. Pepper leaves are mostly yellow, flowers have been mostly knocked off by powerful storms. Peach, pear, plum and apple trees lost most of whatever meager crop there was. Raspberries are watery as were the strawberries and cherries. Awaiting blueberries--I better go check on them today.

I cannot imagine what wineries are going through this year.

The pattern since April has been unbelievably powerful thunderstorms moving in, dropping inches within minutes, and doing it almost on a daily basis. Power outages almost as frequent.

After the winter we had, this is really depressing. The only things doing well out there are weeds, insects, weeds, mildew and weeds, not to mention the weeds.

For us that goes double!

Wow what we'd give to trade a little sun fer a drip or two. Supposed to get some moisture tomorrow and Sun. WW

ww, I don't recall anything like this season. I know now why people in Portland Oregon jump out windows...

It was 103 in Portland, OR today. Enough to make me jump...

well, the tomatoes seem to like this weather, but not much else does. The melons, lettuce and beans really aren't thrilled. gotta change doesn't it? WD

It's hot here- but doesn't seem to be characteristic of previous years. Just started hitting 90* and up about 2 weeks ago. We're supposed to have 5 in a row over 100*. Yuck.

Our temps. have been from the high 80's to the mid 90's. We have had a good amount of rain. Cucumbers and tomatoes galore. Although the plants are looking bad now. We will be pulling them up before Labor day.

I really feel for you CG. I've spent tons of time in the Sacremento delta in the summer and even for me, with your humidity, I gets HOT!. WW

Crazy, crazy weather. We have been dry as a bone in the Seattle/Tacoma area this summer. It was 99 degrees in Olympia yesterday, an all-time record.
