Hi! I'll be getting married in Sept. Need to choose a wine for the following menu. Please Help...post your vote!

Menu= grilled chicken topped with roasted tomatoes, goat cheese and a red pepper sauce (not spicy) accompanied by bowtie pasta with pesto.

wine choices with regions:
1. Sauvignon Blanc,La Playa,Chile
2. Pinot Grigio,Montevina,Amador County
3. Chardonnay,Torres Gran Vina Sol,Spain

thanks!

I'll take door number two, Monte......

I'd say one or two myself.

Although a light fruity red may be better...are these the only options your catering service is providing?

Barnesy

Of those choices, maybe #1 to match acidity of sauvignon blanc with acidity of tomatoes. However roasted tomatoes may lose some acidity (compared to raw tomatoes) and grilled chicken can go nicely with a Sancerre rouge or rose or a medium-bodied pinot noir.
So I'll second Barnesy and suggest a fruity red wine.

Just my meager opinion, Cat, but of those choices, I'd go for No. 2.
