Just got a contract to publish my fourth book--now I have to read the contract to make sure that I am able to live by it!

Good for you, Foodie! Have been wondering what you've got in the publishing mill, since you've not mentioned it in some time. Looking forward to hearing all about it and reading it.

Thanks, Hotsie. You'll have to stay alive another two years before you can read it--that's how long these things take.

The story is about the rise and fall of what once was the sixth largest U.S. winery--'sall I'm going to give away, but the story includes some big hitters in corporate America.

I've got another book proposal making the rounds, but haven't seen much action on it yet.

Good Luck Foodie!!! I'll look for it in two years!!

Does that bookcount include the work you guys did on Gene's cookbook?

- Thomas - 10-09-2010

No, IK.

Side Order Books is a venture with a partner. We don't hold the copyright of those books. The books are dictated by a client, so I don't consider them mine.

My wife, Anne, however, does do the cover and overall book design--she gets credit for that.

We've completed three books thus far, the Glenora, Simply Red Bistro at Sheldrake Point Winery, and a food product purveyor named Allens Hill Farm. We are talking to a couple wineries for potential cookbooks.

Congrats on new contract. I missed this posting probably while our computers were disconnected due to ongoing renovations at work.
