Italy and Spain seem to rule the day.
Di Majo Norante Sangiovese, and Greco for six dollars leave me hard pressed for better juice at twice the price. Argiolas, from Sardinia, produces a wine from the Monica grape called Perdera that is also a steal.
Winebow has a seemingly endless list of good values.
From Spain Jorge Ordonez continues to find score after score. Alma and Basa, from Telmo Rodriguez, Grenache and Sauv. Blanc respectively are both dynamite for eight bucks. Another great producer from Navarra is Vega Sindoa, their Cab/Tempranillo blend is outstanding.
Anyone have any every day quaffers to recommend?
