the producer is a small estate in the southern rhone. wine is an old-vine blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah and shows both varietals nicely.

can't say much about the color as i was drinking this outside last night. let breath for an hour, then took in the strong nose of blueberries, black pepper and spice. taste of same, with a little blackberry throw in. and when i say black pepper, i mean it seems like someone just brought out the pepper mill for this one. long finish with enough drying tannins to probably take this one another 3 years or so. a very nice bottle and a steal at $8.99
