A delightful mouthful of overripened berries with a subtle spicey undertone, for the give-away price of $5.99. A quaffer tonight with tortilla soup, on the day after a dental appointment that resembled a scene from The Marathon Man. Only wish this one hadn't been an orphan on the retailer's shelf.

Being a M d'A fan, I always like to hear about these. This is one category of wines where prices generally haven't exceeded quality & the wines are often good with or without food.
